Available Space is a match-making service for property owners, municipal and community entities, and artists to present dynamic temporary public art in under-utilized, vacant spaces in South Florida.  

The mission of Available Space is to offer a viable platform for contemporary artists to present cutting edge works, to educate the public about contemporary art, promote the talents of South Florida’s vibrant art community, to revitalize neighborhoods by attracting investment and increasing property values, and to improve the quality of life for South Florida residents.

The Available Space Founders are:

MICHELLE WEINBERG, an artist, writer, curator & education consultant. She is the recipient of fellowships including a South Florida Cultural Consortium Award and an Individual Artist Grant from the State of Florida. Public art projects include Miami-Dade County Art in Public Places and murals for Locust Projects, One Miami Riverwalk and the Miami Art Museum. www.michelleweinberg.com

ANNHY SHIM, a freelance art and design consultant- directed the One Miami Riverwalk juried art project in downtown Miami and has curated art projects for developers and private clients in South Florida. Shim also created branding and art programming for the Viceroy Hotel and is the principal of design agency, shim llc. www.shimllc.com

ERIKA HAWKS, is a licensed attorney and arts administrator. After several years in private practice as a real estate attorney, Hawks became the Managing Director of LegalArt Miami and currently works as a consultant for various non-profit arts advocacy organizations writing grants and developing art initiatives and programming.
